Film Synopsis

The Video Dead (1987) centers on a cursed television that arrives unexpectedly at a suburban home and plays an endless zombie film capable of releasing its undead inhabitants into reality. As the television passes from one household to another and increasingly dangerous encounters with the zombies spread through the neighborhood while survivors struggle to understand the bizarre rules governing the creatures, the threat escalates beyond anyone's control. This horror-comedy film examines the intrusion of the supernatural into everyday life through an absurd high-concept premise, as fear begins to overtake reason, with undead terror, suburban paranoia, and supernatural contagion.
