Synopsis
The Story of Ruth (1960) follows a young pagan woman who is trained as a priestess but begins to question her beliefs after meeting a compassionate Hebrew artisan. She falls in love, adopts his faith and faces persecution and hardship when tragedy separates them, yet remains devoted to her new spiritual path while caring for her mother-in-law. As she forges a new life in Bethlehem and finds love again with a kind landowner, her journey becomes a testament to faith, loyalty and courage.
