The Seventh Cross waits for George Heisler.
Film Synopsis
The Seventh Cross (1944) centers on one of seven prisoners who escape from a German concentration camp in the years before the Second World War. As a relentless commandant launches a nationwide manhunt while authorities, informants, and ordinary citizens are pressured to assist in his capture, the fugitive relies on courage, resourcefulness, and the compassion of those willing to defy the regime. This war drama examines resistance and human dignity within an oppressive political system, as acts of conscience emerge in the face of fear and persecution, with escape, survival, and moral courage.
