Synopsis
A young officer in Napoleon’s army discovers a mysterious manuscript in a ruined inn in Saragossa, chronicling the surreal and interwoven tales of his ancestor, Alphonse van Worden. As Alphonse journeys through 18th-century Spain, he encounters gypsies, cabalists, noblemen, and seductive sisters who may be ghosts or demons. Each story folds into another, blurring the lines between reality, fantasy, and myth.
