Film Synopsis
The Relic (1997) centers on a series of gruesome killings that occur as a major exhibition is being prepared at Chicago’s Field Museum of Natural History. As a police detective and a museum researcher uncover connections between the murders and a shipment containing a rare South American plant while evidence points to the existence of an unknown predator lurking within the museum, they race to prevent further deaths before the gala opening. This horror thriller examines science and survival within an environment transformed into a deadly hunting ground, as rational explanations give way to terrifying discoveries, with genetic mutation, monster attacks, and escalating suspense.
