Synopsis
The Real Decameron (1973) follows villagers in medieval Italy whose everyday lives inspire a succession of bawdy and humorous stories shared among women at a communal wash site. As each tale unfolds, lovers, spouses, clergy, and tricksters engage in schemes driven by lust, deception, and social constraint. This Italian erotic comedy blends medieval satire, sexual farce, and episodic storytelling while examining desire, hypocrisy, and human folly.
