Film Synopsis
The Muthers (1976) centers on two female pirates who learn that one woman’s missing sister is being held at a forced-labour camp operating as a coffee plantation. Agreeing to infiltrate the compound, they join the prisoners and become caught up in a struggle against their brutal captors. This Filipino action film combines Blaxploitation, women-in-prison conventions, martial arts, and jungle adventure in an energetic mixture of 1970s genre cinema.
