For three hundred years, a terrifying secret has been kept from the outside world.
Synopsis
The Island (1980) follows a journalist and his estranged son who travel to the Caribbean to investigate the baffling disappearance of boats in the Bermuda Triangle, only to be captured by a centuries‑old band of pirates hidden on an uncharted island. As the pirates indoctrinate the boy and pit father against ruthless tradition, the struggle to escape becomes a clash of wills amid lawless violence and survival. This action‑thriller blends adventure and tense existential conflict in a grim tale of isolation and paternal endurance.
