Looting, pilfering, plundering, robbing, and generally having the time of their lives.
Synopsis
The Gravy Train (1974) centers on two brothers who abandon their lives as a coal miner and factory worker in search of an easier path to success. As they join a gang planning an armored-car robbery in Washington, D.C. while double-crosses, counterfeit money, and rival criminals quickly derail their dreams of easy riches, the brothers find themselves fighting to recover both their share of the loot and their chance at a better life. This crime comedy examines ambition and loyalty within a world of small-time crooks and get-rich-quick schemes, as misfortune, betrayal, and reckless optimism propel an increasingly chaotic adventure, with heists, gangsters, and offbeat humor.
