They had absolutely nothing. But they were willing to risk all.
The Commitments (1991) follows a young music enthusiast in Dublin who sets out to manage a soul band drawn from the local working-class community. As the group develops its sound and gains attention, tensions, egos, and personal conflicts threaten to undermine their success. This Irish musical comedy-drama blends energetic performances, working-class realism, and humor in a lively story about ambition and collaboration.
