She thirsted for love and drowned in lust.
Synopsis
Succubus (1968) centers on a Lisbon nightclub performer whose erotic stage routines and unstable private life become increasingly consumed by surreal visions and acts of violence. As recurring nightmares and psychological disturbances intensify around her relationships and public performances, she loses confidence in the boundary separating fantasy, manipulation, and murder. This West German psychological horror film centers on fractured identity and erotic obsession, as reality begins to dissolve, with sadomasochism, psychological instability, and dreamlike paranoia.
