Film Synopsis
Spider (1992) follows a young woman who agrees to model as the Virgin Mary for a reclusive artist, only to find his disturbing works and influence unraveling her psyche. As surreal visions of spiders, repressed desire, and nightmarish imagery begin to bleed into her waking life, she is driven from the city to the countryside in a desperate attempt to escape the encroaching darkness that stalks her. This Latvian horror drama blends psychological dread and erotic surrealism in a haunting tale of art, obsession, and inner terror.
