Film Synopsis
Spartacus (1960) follows a Thracian slave whose life changes when he is sold to a gladiator training school and forced to fight for the entertainment of Rome’s elite. As he inspires fellow slaves to revolt, he leads a growing army in a bid for freedom against the forces of the Roman Republic. This historical epic blends large-scale spectacle, rebellion narrative, and political drama in a sweeping portrayal of resistance against oppression.
