Film Synopsis
Slap Shot (1977) follows the aging player-coach of a failing minor league hockey team who learns that the franchise is about to fold. As attendance drops and morale falters, he recruits a trio of unpredictable enforcers and encourages on-ice brawls to attract crowds and media attention. This American sports comedy blends abrasive humor and cynical satire in a portrait of commercial desperation and bruised masculinity.
