Film Synopsis
Saturday Night Out (1964) follows a group of merchant seamen and a sea-going passenger who, during their brief shore leave in London, roam the city’s bars, dance halls, and backstreets in search of freedom and fleeting connection. As the night unfolds, some seek romance, others fall prey to unscrupulous hustlers, and the harsh realities of vice and vulnerability surface. This British comedy-drama blends episodic social realism and nightlife energy in a poignant study of longing, disillusionment, and urban escape.
