Film Synopsis
Red Corner (1997) follows a successful American lawyer on a business trip to China who wakes to find a murdered woman in his hotel room and is swiftly accused of her killing under a legal system stacked against him. As he insists on his innocence and battles unfamiliar courts, he and his initially skeptical court-appointed defense attorney uncover layers of conspiracy, cultural friction, and political pressure that threaten both justice and their lives. This mystery thriller blends courtroom peril and cross-cultural tension in a taut battle for truth and freedom.
