Film Synopsis
Possession (1981) centers on a spy who returns home to discover that his marriage is collapsing as his estranged wife begins behaving in increasingly inexplicable ways. As jealousy, suspicion, and unsettling discoveries give way to events beyond rational understanding, he becomes consumed by a terrifying search for the truth behind her transformation. This psychological horror film combines domestic drama, surrealism, and body horror, emphasizing obsession, fractured identity, emotional disintegration, and the destructive consequences of possessive love.
