Synopsis

Outland (1981) follows a newly arrived marshal who takes up duty at a remote mining facility on Io, where a pattern of violent deaths raises concern about the colony’s operations. As he uncovers a drug-fueled conspiracy tied to corporate interests and faces resistance from those in power, the situation intensifies and leaves him increasingly isolated. This science fiction thriller blends frontier law enforcement, industrial bleakness, and mounting tension in an examination of corruption, isolation, and individual resolve.
