Synopsis

Necromancy (1972) follows a young woman who relocates with her husband to a quiet town where his new employer exerts a mysterious influence over the community. As she uncovers signs of occult practices and manipulation, she becomes the focus of a sinister plan involving resurrection and ritual sacrifice. This horror film blends supernatural themes, cult intrigue, and psychological unease in an exploration of grief, control, and forbidden power.

Criticism

  • Photo of Alan Jones

Shot on location at Los Gatos, California, bringing a nice atmosphere to the minuscule budgeted production, there’s little surprise or suspense in the edited-with-a-trowel proceedings…
