Film Synopsis
Murder by Proxy (1954) follows a struggling American expatriate who is offered money by a wealthy heiress to marry her during a drunken encounter. When he awakens with no memory of the night and learns her father has been murdered, he becomes the chief suspect and begins investigating the conspiracy himself. This British crime thriller blends noir paranoia, amnesia, and urban suspense while examining manipulation, identity, and the vulnerability of an outsider.
