Film Synopsis
Mantrap (1953) follows a man convicted of murder who escapes from prison in order to prove that he was convicted unjustly and identify the real killer. A private detective takes up the case and works with him and others linked to the crime, including the fugitive’s former wife and her new life, as they follow clues through London. The investigation leads to unexpected revelations, confrontation with the true culprit, and ultimately the clearing of the fugitive’s name.
