Synopsis
James Tont operazione U.N.O. (1965) centers on bumbling British-Sicilian agent James Tont, code number 007½, who is dispatched from Trinidad to Las Vegas and Italy after recovering stolen microfilm tied to an international conspiracy. As assassination attempts, disguises, and elaborate espionage traps intensify around his investigation while music producer Erik Goldsinger advances a scheme involving the destruction of the United Nations, Tont survives through accident, trickery, and escalating absurdity. This French-Italian Eurospy comedy examines Cold War espionage through broad parody and pop spectacle, as rival schemes begin to collide, with secret agents, international conspiracy, and comic incompetence.
