Film Synopsis
In the Mouth of Madness (1994) follows an insurance investigator hired to locate a bestselling horror novelist who has vanished ahead of a major publication. As he traces clues embedded in the author’s work and travels toward a fictional town made real, he encounters violent incidents and shifting realities that mirror the novels themselves. This supernatural horror film develops mounting dread, with metafiction, authorship, and perception destabilizing identity.
