If He Hollers, Let Him Go! (1968) follows a Black man wrongly convicted of murder who escapes prison only to be lured into a deadly scheme: a wealthy stranger offers him money to kill the stranger’s wife and become the scapegoat. As he rejects the offer and fights to expose the real killer, he battles both systemic injustice and murderous deceit. This crime-drama blends racial tension and paranoid betrayal in a grim study of prejudice, exploitation, and survival under false guilt.
