Synopsis

Hands of Steel (1986) centers on a cybernetically enhanced operative programmed to assassinate an environmental activist on behalf of a powerful industrialist. As his remaining humanity compels him to reject the mission and flee into the desert while government agents, mercenaries, and fellow cyborgs pursue him across Arizona, his struggle for survival becomes a battle against the forces that created him. This Italian science fiction action film examines free will and human identity within a technologically dominated future, as rival forces begin to collide, with corporate corruption, cybernetic enhancement, and personal redemption.
