Film Synopsis
Frankenstein (1931) tells the story of a scientist who, in his obsession with conquering death, assembles a living being from stolen body parts. His creation, misunderstood and feared, becomes a tragic figure who brings terror and destruction to those around him. A cornerstone of Universal horror, the film combines gothic atmosphere and expressionist visuals to explore ambition, morality, and monstrosity.

- Universal’s 4K Blu-ray is included in the “Universal Classic Monsters: Icons of Horror Collection” box set with Dracula (1931), The Invisible Man (1933) and The Wolf Man (1941). Trailers included: Bride of Frankenstein (1935), The Ghost of Frankenstein (1942), Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943) and House of Frankenstein (1944).
- Universal’s Blu-ray is also available in the “Frankenstein: Complete Legacy Collection” box set; and in the “Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection” and “Universal Classic Monsters: Complete 30-Film Collection” box sets containing a 48-page booklet (“The Original House of Horror”).
