A love story between a man, a country, the people he led and the woman he loved.
Film Synopsis
F.I.S.T. (1978) follows a Cleveland warehouse worker who becomes a labour organizer after challenging unfair working conditions during the 1930s. As he rises through the ranks of a powerful truckers’ union, he turns to organized crime for support and places his principles at risk. This labour drama examines how ambition and compromise can undermine a movement founded on solidarity and workers’ rights.
