Film Synopsis
Day of the Dead (1985) centers on a small group of survivors conducting scientific research beneath the surface of a zombie-infested world. As tensions between the military contingent and the civilian scientists intensify while dwindling resources, conflicting priorities, and controversial experiments threaten the fragile balance within the bunker, the survivors face dangers both from the undead outside and from divisions within their own ranks. This American horror film examines authority and human behavior under extreme pressure, as cooperation gives way to mistrust and conflict, with zombies, scientific experimentation, and apocalyptic survival.

- Scream Factory’s “Collector’s Edition” 4K UHD includes twelve art cards.
- Cinestrange Extreme’s “Limited Edition” 4K UHD is available in three MediaBook editions each containing a 72-page booklet with writing by Elmar Berger and Nando Rohner (in German), and a double-sided foldout poster.
- Umbrella’s 2010 Blu-ray is also available as a single disc edition with only the commentaries.
- Arrow’s “Limited Edition” Blu-ray includes a 16-page booklet with writing by Calum Waddell (“For Every Dawn There is a Day; or, Why George Romero Would Never Direct a Rambo Movie”), a 24-page comic book (“Day of the Dead: Desertion”), and a double-sided foldout poster. Reissued as a standard edition with the 16-page booklet (2012/08/27). Trailers included: Night of the Living Dead (1968) and Dawn of the Dead (1978).
- Anchor Bay’s “Divimax Series” DVD includes a 16-page booklet with writing by Michael Felsher. Reissued as a single disc edition without booklet.
