Film Synopsis
Curse of the Dog God (1977) follows a trio of scientists who venture into rural Japan to mine uranium and inadvertently destroy a sacred shrine, igniting a vengeful curse tied to the Dog God. When one of the men marries a village girl, bizarre occurrences escalate, possession and madness ensue, and attempts to lift the curse end in disaster. This Japanese folk-horror blends supernatural terror, rural mythology, and occult vengeance.
