Synopsis
Crash (1996) centers on a detached film producer whose near-fatal car accident introduces him and his wife to a group fixated on the erotic and psychological effects of violent crashes. As increasingly dangerous encounters, staged collisions, and obsessive relationships begin reshaping their emotional and sexual lives, fascination with injury and technological destruction steadily replaces ordinary intimacy and restraint. This Canadian erotic psychological thriller examines the collision between technology, desire, and bodily trauma within a detached modern landscape, as personal boundaries erode, with fetishism, alienation, and self-destructive obsession.
