Film Synopsis
Bohachi Bushido: Code of the Forgotten Eight (1973) follows a nihilistic ronin in 17th-century Edo who, after a suicide attempt leaves him rescued by a shadowy clan that has renounced all traditional virtues, is drawn into their ruthless world of brothel control and underworld warfare. As he navigates brutal clan rivalries, erotic excesses, and violent assignments to eliminate competitors under the edict of their twisted ethos, his loyalties and fate blur between survival and carnage. This Japanese period crime-drama blends samurai action, ero-guro transgression, and visceral spectacle in a cultish study of nihilism and depravity.
