Film Synopsis

Blue Nude (1978) follows a young Italian immigrant who arrives in New York hoping to enter show business but struggles to survive in the Times Square entertainment district. A friend introduces him to hardcore film production, where he forms a bond with an established performer while managers and corrupt police take advantage of his precarious circumstances. This Italian crime drama uses the adult-film milieu and New York locations to examine immigrant disillusionment, economic vulnerability, and the uncertain boundary between opportunity and coercion.
