Synopsis
Bitter Moon (1992) follows a paraplegic author whose chance meeting with a British couple on a Mediterranean cruise prompts him to relive the intense and destructive love affair he once had with his seductive wife. As he recounts their descent from passionate infatuation to sadistic manipulation and emotional torment, past and present collide within the fragile marriage of his captivated listener. This erotic romantic thriller blends psychological drama and unsettling obsession in a provocative study of love’s corrosive extremes.
