Synopsis
Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ (1925) follows a Judean prince whose life is shattered when a childhood friend serving as a Roman tribune falsely accuses him of rebellion against Roman authority. Sent to the galleys as a slave while his family is imprisoned, he later regains freedom and returns to Judea determined to confront the man responsible for his downfall. This historical epic blends large-scale spectacle, revenge drama, and spiritual themes in a sweeping story set during the Roman occupation of Judea and the life of Jesus.
