Film Synopsis
Bedazzled (1967) follows a meek short-order cook who makes a Faustian bargain with the Devil in exchange for seven wishes to win love and fulfillment. As each wish is granted with cruelly comic distortions, his fantasies collapse into lessons about ego, faith, and human folly. This satirical fantasy-comedy blends British wit and moral irony in a sly meditation on temptation and spiritual compromise.
