Film Synopsis
Back to the Future Part II (1989) centers on Marty McFly and Doc Brown traveling from 1985 to the year 2015 in order to prevent disastrous events affecting Marty’s future family. As the theft of a sports almanac allows an older Biff Tannen to alter history for personal gain while overlapping timelines and repeated journeys through the past destabilize reality itself, Marty and Doc struggle to restore the original timeline before its consequences become permanent. This science fiction adventure comedy examines greed and temporal consequence within an increasingly fragmented timeline, as rival versions of history begin to collide, with alternate realities, technological spectacle, and generational conflict.
