Aswang (1994) follows a young, unmarried pregnant woman who agrees to marry into a wealthy family under the promise of security and care. As she settles into their isolated estate, disturbing behavior and mounting secrecy reveal a sinister plan centered on her pregnancy, placing her in increasing danger. This horror film blends supernatural folklore, domestic unease, and low-budget surrealism in an examination of exploitation, control, and the vulnerability of trust.
