Film Synopsis
After Hours (1985) centers on a lonely office worker who leaves his routine behind after meeting a woman and traveling to New York City’s SoHo district for what he hopes will be a memorable night. As a series of misunderstandings, eccentric encounters, and mounting complications leave him stranded without money or a way home while suspicion and hostility begin to follow him from one location to another, his simple outing spirals into an increasingly surreal ordeal. This black comedy examines alienation and chance within an urban landscape where every attempt to regain control produces new chaos, as ordinary circumstances give way to absurdity, with coincidence, paranoia, and dark humor.
