In the slums of Rome, a pimp named Accattone struggles to survive after his main source of income is taken from him. Desperate and aimless, he tries to find honest work but is ultimately drawn back into a life of petty crime. This raw, neorealist portrait captures the desperation, pride, and spiritual decay of a man trapped by poverty and circumstance.
