Synopsis
48 Hrs. (1982) follows a hard-edged San Francisco police detective investigating the escape of two violent criminals responsible for killing police officers. As he searches for the fugitives, he reluctantly partners with a streetwise prisoner who once worked with the suspects and is temporarily released to assist the investigation. This action comedy blends gritty police procedural tension, buddy-film conflict, and sharp humor during a frantic forty-eight-hour manhunt.
