The Uninvited (1944) follows a brother and sister who purchase a remote seaside house only to discover it is haunted by a disturbing supernatural presence. As strange sounds, shifting emotions, and buried histories surface, the house reveals a legacy of repression, obsession, and unresolved death. This atmospheric supernatural mystery blends romantic melancholy and psychological unease in a haunting meditation on memory and guilt.
