The Panther Woman lured men on – only to destroy them body and soul!

Island of Lost Souls (1932) follows a shipwrecked sailor who finds refuge on a remote tropical island governed by a brilliant but unhinged scientist conducting grotesque experiments on animals. As the castaway uncovers a colony of surgically altered humanoid creatures living under rigid laws, the fragile boundary between civilization and savagery begins to collapse. This pre-Code horror classic blends mad-scientist menace and evolutionary dread in a chilling parable of hubris and forbidden science.
