Film Synopsis
The Great Kidnapping (1973) centers on a newly appointed police commissioner determined to combat a wave of kidnappings and violent crime through uncompromising tactics. As his refusal to negotiate with criminals disrupts a powerful extortion network while the gang retaliates by kidnapping his young son in an effort to break his resolve, he is forced to confront the devastating personal consequences of the principles he has long defended. This Italian poliziottesco thriller examines justice and moral conviction within a society overwhelmed by organized crime, as duty, sacrifice, and vengeance collide through kidnappings, police investigations, and explosive confrontations.
