The Burning (1981) centers on a disfigured caretaker who returns to a summer camp years after a cruel prank left him horribly burned. One by one, unsuspecting campers fall victim to his brutal rampage as he stalks them through the wilderness. Combining gory special effects with slasher suspense, the film stands as one of the era’s notorious campfire horror tales.
