Film Synopsis
Sundelbolong (1981) follows a former sex worker who attempts to build a new life after marriage but is drawn back into danger by figures connected to her past. As acts of violence and exploitation disrupt her life, a supernatural transformation leads to a series of retaliatory events that escalate beyond control. This Indonesian horror film blends folklore and exploitation elements with supernatural terror in an exploration of vengeance, trauma, and social stigma.
