Skullduggery

Film Synopsis

Skullduggery (1970) presents a mineral prospector who joins an archaeologist’s expedition in New Guinea, where they encounter an isolated population of ape-like beings. When the expedition’s financier plans to exploit the group as slave labour, efforts to protect its members lead to a public dispute over whether they are human or animal. This satirical adventure changes form from jungle expedition to courtroom drama, using speculative anthropology to examine commercial exploitation, racial prejudice, and legal definitions of humanity.
