Film Synopsis
Relentless (1989) pairs a newly promoted Los Angeles detective with a cynical veteran to investigate murders committed by a man rejected from the police academy. The killer selects names from the telephone directory and leaves taunting messages, while the partners differ over whether psychological profiling or conventional police work offers the best way to catch him. This police-procedural thriller alternates the investigation with scenes from the murderer’s perspective and incorporates graphic violence associated with contemporary slashers.
