Incredible adventure in a fantastic world…
Film Synopsis
Journey to the Center of the Earth (1977) concerns a professor who uncovers a coded route to the Earth’s interior in an old book and sets out through an Icelandic volcano with his niece, her fiancé, and a guide. Their passage through immense caverns and across a subterranean sea brings encounters with prehistoric life and a mysterious traveller whose purpose remains unclear. This Spanish science-fantasy adventure uses natural cave locations and colourful studio sets to frame its practical creatures and successive underground encounters.
