Fandango

Film Synopsis

Fandango (1985) follows five college friends who leave a graduation party in Texas in 1971 for one last road trip together. Their impulsive leader pushes towards the Mexican border, drawing the others into reckless escapades as disagreements over their futures strain the group. This road comedy-drama alternates elaborate physical comedy with quieter, wistful passages, using the open landscapes of West Texas to give their journey a sense of freedom and isolation.
