Film Synopsis
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) concerns an Indiana electrical lineman troubled by recurring visions of a mountain after encountering a UFO during a repair call. His attempts to identify the location disrupt his family life as an international scientific team investigates unexplained phenomena around the world. This science-fiction drama interweaves domestic tension and scientific inquiry, using luminous spacecraft effects and John Williams’ orchestral score to evoke both apprehension and wonder.
